Revive Us Lord!

"But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God--having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people"- 2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NIV).

There are many who would say we are in the last days. The daily news is filled with every aspect of Paul's list to Timothy, but it was also true of Paul's time. Look back at the culture of the Roman Empire...heartlessness, domination, oppression, deprivation, cruelty, etc. History is filled with periods of turning from God, the rise of tribulation and running back to God. God in His mercy and grace says if we will just humble ourselves, pray and seek His face...He will forgive us and heal our land (2 Chronicles 7:14). Billy Graham is calling for prayer for revival. He follows a long list of God's children who have prayed for revival in the past. Isaiah 55:7 says God is merciful and quick to forgive those who turn to Him and change their ways. Do you see our nation in today's Scripture? Let us humble ourselves and pray for revival: in the heart, home, church, community, nation. Revive us Lord!
