"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment...it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight"- 1 Peter 3: 304 (NIV).
You monitor your outward self all the time; yet, you should carefully monitor your inner self. God's sees into your heart (1 Samuel 16:7). He placed eternity there (Ecclesiastes 3:11) and you shall see God (Matthew 5:8)! Your outer body wastes away, but your inner self is renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16). Take every thought captive, making it obedient to God (2 Corinthians 10:5); set your mind on the Spirit, evidenced by peace, modesty, self-control, and fear of the Lord (Romans 8:6, 1 Timothy 2:9, Proverbs 31:30). And don't be anxious, you are of great worth in the eyes of God...worth the life of His Son (Romans 8:32).
