Unshackled Tongue

"And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God...I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling"- 1 Corinthians 2:1, 3 (NIV).

But Paul came! Sharing the Gospel can be intimidating on so many different levels; even Paul felt unworthy. The normal, simple Christians of this world stumble at the thought of misrepresenting, misinterpreting, or misleading individuals, so their tongues are effectively shackled. That's not what God told us to do. Psalm 96:3 says, "Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples." Sharing God's word and what He's done in your life are weapons of warfare, my brothers and sister. Of course the devil wants you to stumble; your words are how Satan will be defeated: "They triumphed over [Satan] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony" (Revelation 1211a). Unshackle your tongue and fight the good fight. Speak of God's glory and deeds...it's your testimony and your part in triumphing over Satan.
