Sweet Blissful Time

"The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing"- Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV).

As a young mother, I would rock and sing to my babies. The blessing was twofold; a sweet blissful time. We don't sing over our children as they get older, though, do we? I sang songs with them, but I stopped singing over them like I did when they were little and none at all when they became teenagers (That could be taken as a snarky comment). How many of us would love to lay our heads in our parent's lap and let them sing over us once again? Here is grace: God never stops singing over you. When you're sleeping, He's singing over you; when you're working, playing, praying, eating...you get the picture; He never stops singing over you. Take time today and be still. You'll experience that sweet blissful time of knowing your Father is singing over you. Here are some of the lyrics: "I have loved you with an everlasting love" (Jeremiah 31:3). You can't outgrow God's love.
