Changling

"Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change"- James 1:17 (NRSV).

In this life, change is inevitable, but our Father never changes. Decay and rust eat away at our best creations changing them into shadows of their concept: Castles become ruins, masterpieces lose their brilliance. Even the earth transforms: rivers change their course, weathering reduces rock to sand. We see our physical bodies changing, too, but take heart Christian, change has a promise: We are spiritually being transformed, changed, into the image of Jesus little at a time. This perfect and generous gift comes from the Father (2 Corinthians 3:18). Change is good!
