"So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy"- John 16:22 (NIV).
The joy we will experience when we see Jesus is indescribable. MERCYME sings I Can Only Imagine: "Surrounded by Your glory, what will My heart feel? Will I dance for you Jesus, or in awe of You be still? Will I stand in Your presence, or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah; will I be able to speak at all?"" That's overwhelming joy! When have you ever felt that kind of joy? Is it even attainable in this life? Well it is promised in the next, and no one can take that joy away from you. Let that thought stay in the forefront of your mind whenever you go through the valleys of grief, loneliness,sadness, sickness and injustice in this world. Fear not, Christ has overcome this world (John 16:33).
