Side-by-Side Worship

"During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven and said: "Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are His. He changes times and seasons; He sets up kings and deposes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him. I thank and praise you, O God of my fathers: You have given me wisdom and power, You have made known to me what we asked of You, You have made known to us the dream of the king"- Daniel 2:19-23.

We all need saving. There is nothing hidden from God; nothing out of His reach or power to reveal and control. Today's Scripture is a great example. Daniel and his friends faced possible death multiple times: interpreting kingly dreams, surviving lion filled pits, raging fires. With this evidence, it's shocking that the entire Babylonian Empire didn't convert exclusively to the one true God of Abraham. They did allow the side-by-side worship of Yahweh; making sure they were making all possible gods happy. Daniel, and all believers in God, can praise God for saving us over and over again. The greatest, of which, was Jesus physically coming into creation to suffer and die that we might be saved. With this evidence, it's shocking that the entire world hasn't converted! They do still allow the side-by-side worship though...for now.
