“This is My command—be strong and courageous!  Do not be afraid or discouraged.  For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go”-Joshua 1:9 (NLT).

There is a battle going on…for your soul.  You are set apart, not a citizen of this world, chosen…His.  You’ve felt it and known you were different as long as you can remember.  Someone introduced you to the Lord and the dots were connected.  You understood why you felt “different” from the world.  I don’t know about you, but I tried to wedge myself into the world..to fit..but, I couldn’t and praise the Lord, wouldn’t want to now…nope, not at all.  The world begs you to join in; to take your vows of world citizenship by enticing you with earthly pleasures: self-glory, self-satisfaction, self-absorption, self….That is not the Spirit He put in you.  You are the child of the most High.  I have a verse taped to my bedroom mirror.  It’s my battle cry and I’ll share it with you:

“Listen, this is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged…for the battle is not yours, but God’s…go…take up your position...you will not have to fight this battle...take up your position… stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you…do not be afraid…do not be discouraged..go..and the Lord will be with you”-2 Chronicles 20:15-17.
